Iconic Shaws Bay Hotel situated in East Ballina just over the Missingham bridge next door to historic Fenwick house. Since taking over the license in 2009, Brendan Byrne has been hard at work renovating the pub to provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere, the recent refurbishment has revived the old hotel giving it a new lease on life.
The Shipwreck Restaurant & Grill offers lunch and dinner 7 days a week and caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. Head chef, Dally Walters and his team create a variety of weekly specials so there is always something new to try, and our large dining area caters for families of all sizes.
The public bar offers the sports enthusiast two big screen Televisions and a number of smaller televisions to cover multiple sports and games at the same time. So if you can’t decide between watching the NRL, AFL, Super Rugby or A league while enjoying a beverage, you can now watch all of them at once.
The TAB bar provides everything the discerning punter could want. From ample wall space for TAB wall sheets and race guides and our dedicated Electronic Betting Terminal, to more than 10 televisions covering all the latest odds, results and market movers for the day.
Our front beer garden offers a relaxed enjoyable space to spend some time with friends. During the winter months we have multiple gas heaters as well as a custom made fire pit to help all our customers keep warm while enjoying some live music on Friday and Sunday nights.
Our back beer garden is the largest of its kind on the north coast. The panoramic views over Iconic Pop Dennison combined with the beach volley ball court, ‘pirate’ ship wreck and beach, there are plenty of activities to enjoy with friends or family. Our famous Sunday Session live music is also very popular with locals and tourists alike.
